Du holde Kunst: Search results for versindeniet
Every day, a new story reach me. They come from people at all places; earth, sky, ocean, and often from cyber space, which I like to call Heaven's Little Sister. is so heavenly populated with wonderful people. Today I discovered Sergio Baldelli and his blog: Du Holde Kunst, when searching for the lyrics of this wonderful song by Schober, and its beautiful music written by Schubert. Well, Sergio is a guy who has the abbility to open windows to words which can heal the heart. He also knows something of healing. I don't know the man at all, but I know he is part of this planet on which I live. My planet hasn't got a name yet, but the name will come. It is a planet where the heart is strong; it can endure many things because it is filled with the solace of words like that of Du Holde Kunst. Sergio translated it into English and you could have alook at the meaning if you cannot follow the German below:
AN DIE MUSIK
Du holde Kunst, in wieviel grauen Stunden,
Wo mich des Lebens wilder Kreis umstrickt,
Hast du mein Herz zu warmer Lieb entzunden,
Hast mich in eine bessre Welt entruckt!
Oft hat ein Seufzer, deiner Harf' entflossen,
Ein süsser heiliger Akkord von dir
Den Himmel bessrer Zeiten mir erschlossen,
Du Holde Kunst, ich danke dir dafür!
Words have the ability to heal, to uplift, to strengthen. They can also wound and rip our souls apart. So too with music. It depends on many things; how the musical tones fit together or form harmony or disharmony. And it depends on ones own taste, I'm sure. Or the kind of music one grew up with. Yet sometimes one hears sounds which touches ones soul so deeply it almost forms a vehicle for the soul, like a magical carpet to carry you away.
Such music I love; and for that, fairest art, I thank thee!
Here is a gift of where two voices blends as one in perfect harmony: ein süsser heiliger accord
